Arts Education Initiative through Arts Clayton

Providing educational opportunities outside the classroom extends the reach of arts into family and community life. These programs generated by Arts Clayton reach numerous children year round, giving firsthand experience in all art disciplines ~ music, dance, drama, visual and applied arts.

ArtVan ~ A CDBG HUD-funded initiative, the mobile ArtVan is a self-contained activities and learning lab. Services are coordinated with literacy programs through Clayton County Schools, reading enrichment through the After-School Program, Pre-K, and Head Start. more>>

Apanay Art Scholarship Fund ~ Arts Clayton is committed to arts education and developing the talents of our students. This scholarship appropriately connects the Fine Art program of our public schools with career and educational opportunities through Clayton College & State University. We are deeply indebted to Dr. and Mrs. Manolo Apanay for their leadership in raising funds for this scholarship. more>>

Art Camps ~ Summer Art Camp is a countywide program for children ages 6-10 entering 1st through 6th grades next fall which also involves teen leaders in a variety of arts and craft activities. Campers enjoy daily programs with touring performers and the specially designed T-shirts which they paint and personalize. And they have an opportunity for hands-on art instruction -- culminating in a "family & friends" finale.
