October 7 – International Arts Festival and Parade

The second day of this upscale, international festival will take place in downtown Jonesboro, “The Square” at Arts Clayton in the Allan Vigil Gallery and at B’Mari Events Space and Art Studio. Inspired by The Factory, a popular artist venue located in Havana, Cuba, Caribbean Nights is designed to promote an effective partnership with Jose Marti Community Arts Collective in Havana, Cuba. The Havana Edition will provide diverse artistic elements of appeal that will reach out to different audiences – from addicted culture and art lovers to those who would not normally attend arts festivals. This historical event will present first-rate entertainment to raise awareness on local and international art adventures. Caribbean Nights is synonymous with hypnotic, high-quality amusement, featuring an international film festival highlighting work from Cuban and U.S. filmmakers. The festival will forge a connection between art and the public and provide visitors with opportunities to soak up the atmosphere and create lasting memories. The cultural display will have the power to bring a variety of people together to entertain, educate and to inform, while simultaneously stimulating and delighting the senses. An impressive roster of exhilarating performances is planned, to include: artists, live music, bands, an artist market, chef demonstrations, caricatures, fortune-telling, clowns, awe-inspiring exhibits, face painting, health & wellness vendors, Caribbean dancers, clowns, charming drum demonstrations/lessons, workshops and painting classes for children, high school students and seniors, and a grand array of food trucks with delicious, mouth-watering cuisine. All festival activities are within easy walking distance.
